Single Irish Chain - Class For Beginners - May 22, 2025 05:00 pm
Thursday Nights 5:00-8:00 March 20th, April 3rd, 17th, and May 1st OR May 8th, 22nd, June 5th and 26th-- This 4-part beginner-friendly quilting class focuses on basic skills. First, you'll learn to practice safe and efficient rotary cutting. Then we'll test your 1/4" seam allowance markings. You'll learn the basics of strip-piecing for speedy Nine Patch construction. We'll square up the blocks and assemble them in rows. I'll give you my best tips for adding borders, and we'll walk through basting your quilt sandwich of top, batting, and backing. We'll talk about simple machine quilting strategies, and I'll demonstrate applying binding with mitered corners by machine.
