Monday-Friday 9:30am-3:30pm
Campers should bring a sack lunch and a snack to eat at their station
during breaks/lunch. Each camper should have a working sewing machine, some empty bobbins for their machine, a pair of scissors and a seam ripper (their new BFF). We will learn the safety needed for sewing machine operation, pressing with a hot iron and rotary cutting skills.
Supplies needed:
-Please bring a working sewing machine, a pair of scissors, pins, a seam ripper, and a few empty bobbins that work for your machine
-Bring a bag lunch and some snacks
-Materials for projects:
Pencil nesting boxes- you’ll need 1⁄2 yard of fabric for the lining. I’ll provide the strips for the outside material.
Make-up remover pads- you’ll need a fat eighth of flannel and I’ll provide the terrycloth.
Napkins- (reversible) - (2) 3⁄8 yard of coordinating fabrics.
Tea Towel Bag - choose 1⁄2 yard of toweling material, 1⁄2 yard lining fabric and 1 yard of webbing for handles.
Bookmark - scraps
Pincushion (hand sewing) Toadstool wristlet - felt provided.
Crossbody Bag - 1⁄2 yard outside fabric, 1⁄4 yard lining fabric, 9in zipper, magnetic snaps, 1⁄4 yard regular interfacing and 1⁄8 yard heavy interfacing
Reusable Snack Bags - 2 fat quarters, ¼ yard of food safe lining, 12in of velcro
