Fabric Requirements
For side A:
½ yd for block triangles
1 fat quarter for setting triangles
8-10 coordinating fabrics for strips
For side B:
½ yd for block triangles
1 fat quarter for setting triangles
8-10 coordinating fabrics for strips
Sashing and Reversible Binding:
3/8 yd for side A
½ yd for side B
Batting:
1/3 yd of 96” wide (OR see cutting instructions)
Supplies
Sewing machine with a sharp needle, 80/12
¼” foot, walking foot
Pencil or marking tool
Thread – a spool of neutral and 2-4 threads to coordinate with your fabrics
(decorative threads are fine as long as they go in bobbin)
2-4 Bobbins
Rotary cutter, mat, and rulers (3-4” x 24” and 10” square or larger)
Small iron and pressing mat
Before Class Cut
Batting:
3 – 10” squares
1 – 14” square, cut on the diagonal twice
(OR 2 – 10 1/2” squares, cut once on the diagonal
Block Fabrics:
For side A:
2 – 10 3/8” squares, cut once on the diagonal
Assorted strips at least 15” long in varying widths from 1 ¼” to 2”
(1 ¼, 1 ½, 1 ¾, 2)
For side B:
2 – 10 3/8” squares, cut once on the diagonal
Assorted strips at least 15” long in varying widths from 1 ¼” to 2”
(1 ¼, 1 ½, 1 ¾, 2)
Side Setting Triangles:
For side A:
1 – 14” square, cut twice on the diagonal
For side B:
1 – 14” square, cut twice on the diagonal
Sashing and Binding:
For side A:
5 – 1 1/8” wide strips WOF
For side B:
5 – 1 ¾” wide strips WOF
