Rope Basket 2.0
Handout in class will be given to you that will cover everything you learn in class so you can repeat it at home easily!
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
-Rope is available for purchase at Sew There (Specific type of rope needed)
-Minimum 15 Wonder Clips
-Scissors
-Fresh 90/14 or 100/16 needle
-Thread – A good quality regular quilting thread that goes with your fabric (you want it to blend in)
** Please make sure your machine is in good working order and bring all the feet your sewing machine comes with
- For small basket, you will need approx 15 strips of fabric measuring 1” wide cut from selvage to selvage.
For larger basket, approx. 25 strips, same width of 1” cut from fabric selvage to selvage. (A good medium size basket will take about 20-24 strips at 1” wide.)
** Precut your 1” strips of fabric before coming to class and trim off selvage edges
OH! But there is more to learn!
Once you have learned how to wrap and sew a basket, you might want to learn how to make these multi-sized clamshell zipper pouches
even a wristlet too! You can request a class to learn these! (Picture on handout and samples in shop)
