Churning Along

Finishes 72” x 91”
Besides your collection of strips and strings, you need:
-2 yds. background fabric (lime in the sample)
-2 3⁄4 yds black print for blocks, sashing, and border
-3⁄4 yd. black solid for binding.
-Cut {24} 7” squares of paper (preferably newsprint) for foundation piecing the Churn Dash triangles.
-Cut strips of paper 6 1⁄2” wide for foundation piecing the borders.
On February 21st we’ll focus on making the Churn Dash blocks, covering strip-piecing and piecing on a paper foundation.
On March 21st we’ll show the blocks we’ve made, discuss my method for adding sashing between the blocks, and work on foundation piecing the border.
